Fun at Grandpa’s Deer Camp with the Nikon V1

Lee and I went up to her Dad’s deer camp this past weekend to chill out and let Sydney ride four wheelers and play in the woods.  Being away from cell service is awesome.

I’ve gone back and forth with several of the smaller sensor cameras to carry along all of the time.  It’s tough because there is so much great innovation by all the key players right now.  I’ve been shooting the Nikon V1 for a couple of months and really love it.  Several reviews pan it because the sensor is small than micro four thirds but having owned the Olympus EP-3 I don’t feel there is any lost ground.

I love the grain in the files with the V1 am happy with the raws up to 3200.  You can’t beat the autofocus…it’s screaming fast.  Come on Nikon…now give us some lenses!  All of these shots are raw process in Aperture.  I’ll update this post tomorrow with more thoughts and something resembling an actual review I but wanted to get these shots up.
