After rescheduling our first engagement session in Ft. Worth, I met Cynthia and Sammy last Sunday at the Stockyards. I’ve been under the weather and was uneasy about my creative flow but as soon as we started everything felt great. Knowing your wedding clients trust you really makes all the difference. We spent the evening walking around looking for nooks with unique light sources and backgrounds. Just as important as the photos is them having the opportunity to be at ease in front of the camera. In wedding and engagement photography, I work with real people, not models. It’s important that they have the experience of a great photo session. Knowing that they can have one less thing to worry about on their wedding day is VERY important. The trust that begins at an engagement session is crucial for great wedding photography later.
Cynthia and Sammy will have their wedding at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney New Year’s day. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream. Beautiful, peaceful wedding venue, super nice staff always organized.
I love shooting in Ft. Worth. I don’t get down there for engagement sessions a ton, but every time I do I’m happy to find new places and new light. Here are a few stand outs from our engagement shoot.
