There’s nothing like a tight deadline to inspire a little creativity. Due to last minute dress alterations we had to push back her bridal session at the Canals of Las Colinas to the Wednesday before her Saturday wedding at the Fairmont Dallas. I knew I could count on the amazing folks at White House Custom Color to get her bridal portrait shipped back for framing overnight even with so little time to work with. As always they had it delivered right on time and expertly finished. You can always count on WHCC!
Niki had a tough choice picking her display print but she chose the sixth image in the series here. It was shot on my Nikon D7000 using the Sigma 85mm 1.4 lens. I highly recommend them both and if you’re in the market for either, those link send you over to Adorama’s web site. I worked with a combination of that body and the Nikon D3s, 35mm 1.4 AFS and the Sigma 85mm. The Siggy goes toe to toe with Nikons 110%. There are no problems nailing the focus of a walking bride while shooting with such a large aperture.
Niki’s gorgeous wedding gown is from Stardust Celebrations in Plano. To see more of Niki and her beautiful wedding, be sure to check out Niki and Ali’s awesome wedding at the Fairmont Dallas.
